Wacom graphics tablet on the Photoshop

During the afternoon of our session when we was asked to grab a graphics tablet from upstairs to give it a shot with the Photoshop. When I first tried using the graphics tablet last year, I struggled to draw and to control the board and I just couldn't do it. A year later when I purchased myself a brand new graphics tablet for the course, and then tested it out I had more focus and a steady control with my drawing skills on the screen and I must admit it turned out very well with a quick sketch of a Robot Wars competitor robot Carbide who won the Robot Wars series 9 competition tournament on the BBC 2 channel, and I did this drawing as a quick test to see if my drawing skills improved and it has. Of course, this was a quick test and there will be some more improvements to my graphic designs in the later year and I seriously cannot wait to try it again.

Max Rowe - BA Hons Computer Animation Arts - UCA Rochester - Summer project 2018 - 101 sketches

Summer Project Drawings

During the summer holidays I was asked to create 101 sketches in my journal book of the categories that I was given for the task to do such as Life forms, structure and machine. I did all 101 sketches in my journal and then after that task was completed I was given another task to pick 3 sketches 1 from each category to draw from the front, the side and the back of my drawings.
I did the first lot based on my interests on what I like for example Sonic the hedgehog, Robot wars and a bit on Thunderbirds as those ideas are related to the categories on the list but then later on I did the rest of the sketches based on the real world with more realistic life form animals, towers, buildings, houses and other types of machines of what I can see. With each sketches that I have created I had to use different type of methods to create each drawings in my journal for example using a pencil, pen, paint and digital drawing (computer). I have also decided to add more ideas of drawing methods for example using a pot of ink with a cocktail stick to trace some sketches into my journal book and the other method was to use some charcoal to draw the other remaining sketches in which it does have a few double printed work on my other pages with my other sketches that I created earlier on in which it has created it self a flipped horizontal drawing idea.

This was a fun and a very tough project to complete as I was slowly starting to run out of ideas to think of as I was nearly finished with the summer project during the 2nd half of the 101 sketches.
In the end I went outside more often into the towns and into the city I finally had some more ideas to finish of the summer project once and for all. If I was asked to complete this task again but with more drawings with more detail I would think less with my interests and focus more on the ideas based on whats out there in the real world for the assignment.
